Gozuacik Lab is prominent molecular and medical research laboratory in Türkiye, focusing on autophagy mechanisms in health and disease. We are an active member of the International Cell Death Society (ICDS), International autophagy community, EMBO Investigators Network, COST Actions and several other EU and international networks. Moreover, we have active collaborations with labs all around the World, including The Autophagy, Inflammation, and Metabolism (AIM) Center of Biomedical Research Excellence, University of New Mexico, USA.

Successful candidates will work on a research project about autophagy-cancer connection. They will use state-of-the-art methods of cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and cancer mice models and patient-derived tissues.

For postdocs, a Ph.D degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field is required. At least 2 original research publications in SCI-cited journals is a must. Previous hands on experience of cell culture techniques and rodent experimentation is a plus. Ability to work independently and strong interpersonal skills are expected.
